Trainee patent attorney – Chemistry

We currently have an opportunity for a trainee patent attorney to join our team in Dublin.

The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in chemistry (2:1 or above). A PhD is an advantage but not essential. You should enjoy the learning and technical challenges that come with the role, both during training and beyond, and have strong communication and organisational skills.   Importantly, you should have a desire to be part of a growing team, and to help others grow their businesses.  A large number of professional exams are required to become a patent attorney, so a high level of commitment is required.   The successful candidate will work closely with qualified attorneys based in both Ireland and the UK, with occasional visits to our UK offices.   Definition IP will support the successful candidate through to qualification as a European, UK and Irish Patent Attorney with training to the highest professional standards.
